Pink Saturday

Sorry I am a bit late getting to Pink Saturday.

So I am quickly sharing a few collages I made of photos I took a while ago.

Todays pinks are mostly china and some flowers from our summer garden.

I am sorry to be so late but I am hoping it is better late then never!

Thank you Beverly for hosting this sweet event at How Sweet the Sound.

I hope you enjoy the rest of the weekend.

In the White Light!

On this beautiful crisp sunny day I took some photos to share with you that were inspired by a new little grand nephew Simon that I am thinking of today.

I love these little handknit baby booties.

and this sweet little embroidered sign will be cute on his nursery door.

hand smocking, little knit sweater, baby booties-I think I have a theme here!

Oh! the littlest angel

Now I am joining Cindy today at My Romantic Home for Show and Tell Friday. Did I ever mention that Cindy's blog was the first blog I ever stumbled upon a couple of years ago. I did not know there was such a thing as blogs until that happy day. From that day on I was hooked! My son started this blog for me on his own accord one day because he thought I would enjoy it and now I am coming up to my 1000th post . Now I also want to say that if it had not been for Cindy doing a post on my blog several months after I started and sending many visitors my way I would have quit my blog because I thought I was the only one reading it- so I want to say thank you to Cindy for all her support over the time I have been blogging and of course all of you new friends I have made since! Now who else could I share these with if it wasn't for you and you know how I love to take pictures.

Thank you and have a fun filled weekend!

Ikea !

I do not have a Ikea store where I live, so I sometimes forget about how great this store is. I'm in love with the shoe rack and may have to incorporate that in my own home. If you have a Ikea store near you...LUCKY !

disco noir

: : my lovely friend .maiya. shared the website of a friend of hers who has recently launched a handbag and furniture line. I love their attention to detail and pop of color.

Breakfast for One

Good morning ! Today I was home alone so I thought I would enjoy my breakfast out in our little upstair sunroom.

I made some buttermilk biscuits and they are hot out of the oven- just the way I like them.

A soft boiled egg some raisin toast.blackberry preserves ,milk and a cup of tea and I am good to go!

The sun is just starting to peek out.

These biscuits are so good my husband will be lucky if there are any left when he gets home!

aren't these little egg cups cute?

Well,I better eat now before it gets cold!
Today I am joining Kathleen at Faded Charms for White Wednesday. You can check out other participants there and I am also joining Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for Tablescape Thursday.

Hope you enjoy a nice day,

Carolyn

Use Your Corners !

When space is limited, look to the corners of your rooms. Shelving, bookcases, all sorts of possibilities!

Autumn Mosaics

Good morning! We have been getting a lot of rain so I was happy when the sun came out yesterday afternoon and we could go for a nice drive to enjoy the fall foliage as it will all be gone soon. November is a rather barren month here on the Island but since I love Christmas I focus on getting ready for the holiday season and soon the barren land will be covered with a sparkling white blanket of snow and beauty is abundant once again.

These are some autumn scenes that I shot around various places on the Island.

These were taken at a garden center in Summerside called Cool Breeze. Pretty cool don't you think?
Today I am joining Mary at Little Red House for her lovely Mosaic Monday. Mary is a wonderful photographer and always has beautiful photos to share so if you haven't already go and check it out and the other lovely mosaics as well.

Thank you for visiting me and I hope you enjoy all the autumn beauty around you too.

Take care,

Carolyn

I know its not even Halloween but once it starts getting a bit cooler I think a little bit ahead to the holidays. I love Christmas greens and small touches for the holidays. Whats your holiday decor like? Over the top? Subdued ?
