Just Peachy!

Hello everyone,
We have been enjoying some beautiful sunny weather here so I want to spend as much time out in the garden as possible so lets enjoy our tea in the garden again.
I am setting the table for you!
A beautiful peach colored bouquet,I picked just for you!

A soft peach teacup with some beautiful Graham Thomas roses.
I love my hats and these delicate gloves belonged to my husband's aunt.

How about a nice light dessert with your tea-it is called Lemon Fool.
Sweet cherubs among the bouquets.

The daylilies are beautiful aren't they?

Lets sit for awhile and enjoy the sunshine in the garden over a nice cup of tea!

I am joining Between Naps on the Porch for Tablescape Thursday today.

Thank you for all your lovely comments on my Misty Morn and welcome to all my new followers.I hope to have more time for visiting soon. Wow! can August possibly be over already???

Take care,

Carolyn

A Misty Morn in the Garden

Hello everyone,
I hope all is well with you after Hurricane Irene passed through-here we escaped with only a windy day and some rain but I know some of you were hit harder but maybe not as hard as anticipated.
One morning late last week we arose to a very misty morn so I grabbed my camera and took a few shots around the garden. I loved the look of the angel above with the mist around giving a mystical look.

The roses look so pretty in the mist.
I will let you wander around the garden -enjoy the soft mystical  look as you go.

We have seven of our grandchildren here for a couple of days so we are enjoying the sound of giggles and happy excited little voices in our home once again.
We are supposed to have beautiful weather here all week so we will happily take it!

I am joining Cielo for show off your cottage Monday at the house in the roses.

Thank you for visiting me,

Carolyn

vacation-continued

: : then we continued our vacation at our favorite place...our Swedish summerhouse. With more lazy days filled with family competitions, swimming and diving on the dock, dinners outdoors in that golden Swedish summer light, mushroom picking  and eating (crazy amounts of mushroom), midnight swims with glowing plankton....warming up in the sauna in between. there is no better place in the world!

Costa Brava vacation

: : as you might have noticed, it's been quiet here on the blog. we just came back from two weeks of fantastic vacation in Spain and Sweden. We returned to our favorite fishing village, Sa Tuna, Costa Brava, for one week, this time with our best Swedish friends. There were seven of us in one house with a pool and endless beautiful beaches to choose from. We spent our days swimming, suntanning, snorkeling (we saw octopus!) playing, cooking and eating delicious food at night. And Yahtzee of course, super- yahtzee.

Beach Days

Hello again,
We have finally had some nice summer weather here so we packed up and headed to the beach a few days ago as we realize that the time for enjoying the beach will all too soon be gone for another year.
We have so many beautiful beaches here on the Island.
Our grandchildren also enjoyed a day at the beach.
This is Northport and was taken a few years ago but it is on my wish list to go back again soon.
A picnic at the beach is always a treat,
And of course, a trip to the beach on a summer evening to watch the sun go down is the perfect way to end a day!
Well, now I think we should head to the beach to watch that beautiful sun go down!

I am joining Hakan for Show off Saturday-pop in and see his beautiful roses and also the other lovely blogs that joined in.

Hope all goes well for all on the east coast as Hurricane Irene passes through.

Take care,

Carolyn
