Hello everyone,
It is a sunny but cool November day here and after doing some outdoor Christmas decorating I enjoyed some baking time in a warm kitchen.I have been without an oven for the past few weeks so it is a treat to finally have it working again. My Mom had a stove that still worked like a charm when it was 30 years old and my was just over the year when the timer and all the wiring had to be replaced. They sure don't make things to last anymore!
Anyway,it is time for an afternoon tea break.
I love this black and cream transferware teacup.
I tried a new muffin recipe-pear and date muffins and we really enjoyed them so I can recommend them to you.
I packed a few up for my Mom to enjoy.
And I have included the recipe in case you would like to try them too. The only change I made was I used honey instead of sugar and I added a teaspoon of cinnamon to them.
There is a pot roast cooking in the oven now so I am enjoying the sunshine streaming in the kitchen and the wonderful aroma of supper cooking as I savour a cup of afternoon tea.
I am joining Rose Chintz Cottage for Tea Time Tuesday and A Delightsome Life for A Return to Loveliness. today.
Thank you for visiting,
Carolyn
