Today I thought I would take you on a short tour of our humble garden (it was lovely to see other gardens but so good to be back in our own). This is a great place to seat and read my favorite garden magazine 'The English Garden'.
Lots of different varieties of daffodils are in bloom.
The star magnolia tree has been blooming for awhile giving of a sweet fragrance.
Freckles viola.
I love virginia bluebells and hope they spread around the garden.
The tulips are blooming now as well.
These are the dainty Talia narcissi
The daffodils on the hillside garden have naturalized well but I will be moving some out as there is too much foliage to hide when they are past.
It does look pretty when in bloom though.
These are some of my bargain tulips I planted last fall.
muscaria
I don't have a lot of orange but I have one bed that I planted orange and yellow tulips in-they are just starting to bloom.
My Dad(he passed away 13 years ago) gave me some primulas many years ago and they have reseeded gently around the garden. My Dad enjoyed gardening and I am happy to have peonies, phlox etc. that he gave me ,
forget me not as so prolific but I wouldn't want to be without them.
That is all for today-now I must plant the few new plants I got yesterday and divide and move some edging plants. It is going to hot and sunny today so I am hoping to fit in a walk on one of P.E.I.'s lovely beaches-wish you could come too!
Take care,
Carolyn
