We have a little 'cottage' in our garden that got a few improvements this spring. Our daughter gave us some windows that they weren't using anymore so Andrew and a friend installed them in the cottage (the other windows were old, small and didn't open). They also installed two on the north side where there were none before.
When we were in Maine we bought the old wooden shutters for $5 each.It is amazing what we can fit in a car! I like the old chippy gray paint on them.
I gave the inside some fresh paint and then the fun began. I love setting up the little cottage and when our grandchildren come they love to play in it while the older grandchildren jump on the trampoline behind it. I usually have quiet background music playing , the birds are singing and the curtains are blowing gently in the breeze. When we have garden tours this is a favorite spot. On the first hot night you will find me sleeping out here!
