My husband and I just got back from a trip to Long Island ,New York where we enjoyed visiting a few gardens and mansions. Long Island had so many garden centres that you know there are a lot of beautiful gardens.I loved all the flowering trees that where everywhere all along the drive. And speaking of drive , with six lanes of traffic rushing each way it kept both of us on high alert watching for signs etc. Coming from little Prince Edward Island we are used to a two or three lane highway and looking at scenery as we go along our merry way!
Anyway,we did enjoy our little holiday and I will share some photos with you of our favorite things.
I can't believe how much our own garden grew while we were gone. When it stops raining I will grab my camera and enjoy taking some photos to share with you again.
If any of you live near Old Westbury Gardens and have never gone you would really enjoy visiting it. We also toured the mansion and it is so interesting to see how the wealthy lived a hundred years ago.
Now, I am going to get my wellies on and enjoy a tour of my own humble garden rain or not!
Tonight I look forward to seeing what you guys have been up to this past week.
Take care,
Carolyn
