Our Bedroom Makeover

Instead of whining to you about our late spring we spent a few days last week giving our
bedroom a bit of a new look. After spending several hours stripping off two layers of wallpaper I did contemplate painting the walls instead of putting on new wallpaper. However,I had already bought the wallpaper months ago when it was half price and I really do love the sunny golden cosiness of it- so on it went. The woodwork was all repainted a lighter color also giving the room a lighter look and I will give the pine floor a new coat of varnish soon.

I dug out a creamy lace bedspread that I had bought at a thrift shop and some lace curtains replacing the darker curtains and bedspread that I had on in the winter. I am still doing some fine tuning to the room but this is what I have done so far. It is not a big change but it does have a brighter sunnier look while keeping the look of an older home. So tell me ,what do you think?
