A Romantic Afternoon Tea!

It is a beautiful afternoon to have our tea in the garden so why don't you join me. It is Tablescape Thursday over at Susan's lovely blog Between Naps on the Porch and I am happy to join in. Thank you Susan for hosting this very popular event!

We can enjoy the beautiful fragrance of the lilacs as we chat!

I think the netting gives our little table a romantic flair don't you?

It is a perfect warm and sunny with just a hint of a breeze.

These lilacs are one of the Preston (Canadian lilacs) that bloom later then the french lilacs or the common lilac so they extend the lilac season.

The candle chandlier adds to the romantic look.

Come and sit down-don't be shy!

We are using some pretty pink and white china today.

I made some homemade rhubarb preserves this morning from rhubarb from the garden.

I bought this lovely teapot at a thrift shop.

Come to think of it all these pretty dishes came from a thrift shop.

The roses are starting to bloom in the garden.

I made some cranberry scones to go with our tea.

Go ahead and help your self to another one.

Before you go to visit Susan at Between Naps on the Porch and all the other lovely Tablescape Thursday participants( if you haven't already) I have a bouquet of peonies for you to take home with you.

Thank you for coming and having tea with me-I really enjoyed our time together.Come back any time!

Take care,

Carolyn
